2024, The Year of the Mirage

I called this the Year of the Mirage because things looked one way standing from 2023 looking into 2024, but as we crossed over and got close…they turned out to be something completely different.

I think I spent most of 2024 saying to the Lord, “I don’t understand; did we miss something?” This year brought challenges in a way that you could not possibly plan for and yet, God was there every time with the solution. He sent people to help; He sent guidance in different ways; and even though we didn’t know the problems were coming, the solution overtook them and was waiting on the problem to manifest.

Read that again.

Because God is omnipresent and omniscient, He doesn’t operate in time, so He was already at the end before the beginning even took place. It required us to step back, take a deep breath, and let God hold our hands and lead us.

There were many sleepless nights when we weren’t sure of the outcome, but then God would show us that we needed to live in the ‘now’! Because as He showed my sister, stay in today because there is grace for today. There is already grace for tomorrow that will meet you in tomorrow where it is needed.

If there was ever a time that required you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding…it is now. You need to live in the now, and look to Him in the now…because you can’t handle today what comes about tomorrow.

So as we leave 2024 behind with all of its trials, challenges, and joys, we walk into 2025, not making New Year’s resolutions that require us to be locked into lists and empty promises, but a resolve that says, “I may not know what tomorrow holds, but the God I serve, who is ever present, ever loving, and ever faithful, holds me in the palm of His Hand and will carry me through whatever may come!!”

Happy 2025 to all, and may this new year be filled with love, peace, and kindness. God’s richest blessings!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
